For the first time, Sacramento opens parking garage to provide homeless shelter from winter storms
“We mobilized that in just a few hours,” said Daniel Bowers, director of emergency services for the City of Sacramento. “[There’s] onsite security throughout the night, they can park in a protected area and they can get a good night’s rest.”
