Like Rats Off A Sinking Ship – Dan Horrigan’s Sinking Administration

This used to be billed as the dark, fucked-up side of my message. It’s not that anymore. It’s just me now. There is no difference anymore.

What is going on with the city of Akron Mayor Dan Horrigan’s administration? They are jumping overboard like rats off a sinking ship.
These people have left so far:
  • Police Chief Kenneth Ball
  • Director of Neighborhood Assistance John Valle
  • Deputy Mayor for Integrated Development James Hardy
and yesterday, 2 people left with no other job plans:
  • The youngest female cabinet member in Akron’s history Press Secretary/Senior Strategic Counsel Ellen Lander Nisch
  • Chief of Staff/Deputy Mayor of Administration Annie McFadden
Those are all $100,000+ plus jobs. The only person to leave for another job was James Hardy. Everybody else… just left.
