The Spiritual Path Is Personal

As I was standing before a powerfully beautiful shrine in Tokyo I felt nothing.

It was a hot, crowded Sunday morning. You would think that would make things worse. But suffering of any sort often helps me find a connection.

I might think it’s simply because I’m from the west and I’m not tuned into Eastern spirits. But I rarely find It in a church of any kind in the States.

Where I often find IT is in a trash filled yard surrounded by high and insane homeless people.

That’s not to say IT isn’t in these places. Of course IT is. IT’s everywhere. But I just don’t feel IT there.

I hope that you get to experience IT somewhere, somehow.
