I would like to take a minute to thank my friend Nick Cacioppo for telling truth to power last night at the Akron City Council meeting. He is eloquent, and more importantly, he is right. This is the segment of his speech regarding the cruel, inhumane and torturous treatment of Akron houseless citizens at the hands of City of Akron, Ohio – Mayor’s Office while Akron city council sits by and says or does nothing. He correctly references Tara L. Samples and Shammas Malik for being the only two council people who have stood with our houseless citizens.
