This is Richard Grass. He’s an important person in the humanitarian fight for homeless rights in Akron Ohio.
He is seen here wearing his tent because the city came and stole every single other item of his. He finally cut a hole in his tent, and put his head through it and told them that the tent was his clothing.
He was camping on city property here. He had nowhere else to live. They charged him with trespassing. This was his third trespassing violation. He was looking at 6 months in jail.
I don’t know where he currently stands on that charge. But I do know that I personally took him to 6 hearings he was scheduled for. Each time the judge was not there. They made him reschedule each time.
