Because so much of my work is on email I tend to take an email break over the weekends. Email can get a little overwhelming.
But this Monday morning, today, could possibly make me LOVE email again.
I woke up to a slew of supportive comments on last Friday’s post talking about all the homeless kids in our community.
And then I went over to the GoFundMe I set up for shoes for Akron Homeless kids.
I was blown away! 11 different donations. For a total of $214. All in 2 days! That’s just unbelievable.
I actually didn’t expect anything. I just quickly put the link at the bottom of that post and went on my way.
Your outpouring of support for this is loud and clear. You were moved by this as much as I was. I can’t thank you enough.
I will be posting more about how we can all help the 2200 HOMELESS KIDS IN AKRON.
But for now, this post is about the No Feet Left Behind, Shoes For Akron Homeless Kids GoFundMe.
This is a zero overhead initiative. Other than the small fee GoFundMe takes, 100% of all money received goes to shoes for Akron homeless kids.
There are really affordable shoes on Walmart.com. Here’s a pair for under $5:
If you have a few extra bucks to help the homeless kids of Akron, it would be amazing if you would be willing to check out: https://www.gofundme.com/akronshoes

Sage, you are a humanitarian. I have $36.00 I would like to contribute in the form of a check. Who should I make it out to and where should I send it?
John Lewis
That’s so kind and awesome! I don’t have any group formally setup yet. So you can, if you want, send it to me: Sage Lewis. I’ll do a full accounting so you know it goes to where it’s supposed to go.
Thank you so much!
Sage
OK Sage. I will plan on it.
