It is hate directed towards addicted people.
The reason I want to point it out is because it is also VERY acceptable in most of American society.
The words "Grow Up" in the bottom right reflect a complete ignorance of what an opiate addiction is.
Fentanyl, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, is up to 100 times more potent than morphine and many times that of heroin.
Others can better explain how trapped fentanyl makes you. Others can explain to you how their child died on fentanyl. And most of my homeless friends have lost close friends to fentanyl.
We will NEVER EVER begin to turn the corner on addiction by shaming people or accusing them of being losers. Ultimately, the hate towards addicts just creates a deeper sense of depression and self hatred.
In my mind the real evil in America is the hatred towards people who are suffering incredible agony at the hands of a brutal overlord. I'll take an addict over a hater any day of the week as my friend.
Judgement, particularly at the hands of self-righteous Christians, is brutally hurtful at the least and suicide inducing at the worst. And most of all, it is EXACTLY OPPOSITE everything Jesus stood for.
